About us
Vision and mission
The internet is a vital medium, but sometimes nowadays we forget about old-fashioned printed formats that address topics comprehensively, not as a new agency report, nor as a photo op. Sometimes we lose interest in the essence, taking information as one-sentence announcements. In digital photography, we sometimes lose sight of the best photojournalism, as we get accustomed to the amateur photography that magazines, daily papers and the internet present to us as good enough. Our purpose in INSIDE magazine is to bring you single-themed issues, which examine a topic from multiple perspectives – through photo-essays, essays, comics and interviews.
INSIDE is meant to be a source of information, ideas and commentary that contributes to greater awareness and to interest in international issues.
The concept of the magazine originated last summer, during a car trip from Kep to Phnom Penh in Cambodia. With financial support from Slovakaid and all the interested parties, the first issue has come out, on the topic of poverty.
We very much hope that INSIDE becomes a magazine you keep handy on your bookshelves, and that it serves you as an information source even years after its printing.
